📝 Introduction

  1. Start with warm introduction, and allow for time to settle.
  2. Reintroduce yourself, and anyone else on the call. Avoid any job-role jargon.
  3. Re-establish the purpose of conducting the usability test.

For example:

Hello! This is Aarti here, from the [company].

We also have [X] on this call, who is from [X team]. They help us build the app you use.

Thank you for agreeing to speak with us today amidst your busy day. As we spoke previously, today we’d like to learn more about how you use [Feature X]. Also, we’d like to show you some changes we are making to [Feature X], and get your feedback.

[Pause for questions, if any. This is to avoid a long monologue]
