📝 Introduction
Hi I am Shannon, I’m a user Researcher at PandaDoc
- Record call: Before we get started, is it alright with you if I record this session? It makes note-taking much easier. The recording will not be shared outside PandaDoc.
- Instructions: Today we’ll be doing a usability test. But before we start, we have a few quick questions designed to help us get to know you better, and also understand your document software needs.
🔥 Warm Up Questions [Limit to 3–4]
- Tell me a little about yourself: Who are you, what is your job, and what does it entail? (if they are a user)
- How do you use PandaDoc? (or do you currently use any tools to manage documents)
- How do you create documents in PandaDoc?
🧩 Usability Test Instructions
- Before we start the usability test, I’ll briefly explain how we do these so we’re on the same page
- As the participant, you’ll perform a set of tasks while I observe you.
- While you can and should ask questions, I probably won’t answer them until the end of the test.
- We’re interested in seeing how people think as they use our product.
- This is why it’s helpful to us if you can think out loud. This can be easy to forget…so if necessary, is it alright if I remind you as we go along?
- I’ll give you a scenario and some information, then ask that you do exactly what you would do in this situation if you weren’t participating in this test.
- Do you have any questions before we start?
- Today we’ll be testing a prototype. This is basically a set of images layered on top of one another, all with limited functionality. Think of it as a slideshow. Just keep in mind that most of the user interface elements will be inactive. You also won’t need to use your keyboard; everything should be done with just your mouse.
